Germany’s Scholz Says New Government to Focus on Renewable Energy

Oct.13 — Germany’s Olaf Scholz said a Social Democratic-led government will drive forward an expansion in renewables and energy-infrastructure investment as he expressed certainty that he’ll succeed Angela Merkel as chancellor by the end of the year. The finance minister spoke to Bloomberg’s Annmarie Hordern in Washington.
