U.S. stocks moved further into record territories after U.S. Feds signaled no interest rate hikes through 2023. In New York, the Dow Jones gained 189.42 points to establish a new record of 33,015.37, the S&P 500 added 11.41 points to a record close of 3,974.12, while the Nasdaq increased 53.63 points to 13,525.20. Canada’s main stock index closed higher following strong performances from the commodity and energy sectors. In Toronto, the S&P/TSX close up 109.09 points to 18,983.10 after hitting an intraday record of 19,037.13.
